Sir Edmund Hillary Pt 1

This is my writing and a picture I drew. It was hard because I hd to draw the people so small. I hope you like it!

As I don my climbing gear I look at the cold snow slowly and gracefully dancing it's  way to the ground. I put on my beanie and snow goggles and call my climbing partner, Tenzing Norgay. We're ready to go. We step outside into the freezing wind. We slowly battle our way forward. It's as if the wind wants us to stay at the camp. To be completely honest I actually do want to stay, but I soldier on up the mountain.

Now we're about halfway. I can't feel my fingers. Now the wind is howling louder than 100 babies screaming for their mums. I slowly put one foot in front of another. Up ahead I see Tenzing stumble. I rush forward to help stabilize him. We walk together for what seems like hours. Finally we sit down in the snow, gasping for air

Finally I see the top and smile. After all this hard work we're finally here. I can't believe we made it. We plant the flag and flop onto the ground, exhausted. Finally we slowly walk back down the mountain. When we get to the bottom we're greeted by cheers.
